As far back as high school, I’ve been in love with fashion. I read Seventeen Magazine like it was the Bible. My Senior year of high school, when everyone listed a defining statement in the yearbook, mine was, “Clothing is something a girl can never have enough of!” That is something that hasn’t changed, several decades later. My memories always include fashion and style, dating back to the sixties.
My first “statement piece” was a suede vest with fringe and beads, although to be honest I felt like all my pieces made statements! I managed a boutique when I was younger, and made the decision then and there that fashion would always be a huge part of my life, and today I have owned Terri’s for 26 years. And even today, the feeling I get when a customer leaves the store feeling good about herself because of our items never gets old.
I love my job. I enjoy coming to work, day after day, year after year- never tiring of new styles. The excitement of opening a box of clothing, seeing a new piece of jewelry, touching a new piece of leather- those are my favorite feelings.
